About Carsun's Bazaar

2 Geeks & A Market Stall

I’m a proper 1980s kid. He-Man, Ghostbusters, Transformers... I had it all. I was gripped by the darker aspects of Batman that we got to see in the late ‘80s and that’s never let up. I place comic book heroes up there with the mythological characters I loved as a child, Robin Hood, King Arthur and Beowulf. I’m a real movie nut with a soft spot for anime and shows like The Walking Dead, Entourage, Game of Thrones and Westworld.

Alnwick-born brothers, Chris and Rob McEwan have watched the world embrace what they knew all along...

Geeking out is good!

It's not about trends and fads, it's not about wanting to look cool or keeping in with others, it's about knowing what you like, knowing what you love and just embracing it.

Both brothers were raised on a healthy diet of Ghostbusters, Ninja Turtles, Batman and video games in childhoods that were the perfect balance of indoor and outdoor entertainment. Chris developed a love of skateboarding, while Rob spent weekends mountain-biking with his friends all over the countryside around Alnwick.

Chris has kept video games and WWE close to his heart, while Rob can't get past his Batman affliction (which also spread into other comic-book characters, and left him with almost encyclopedic knowledge-scars on his brain).

Chris took a love of cartoons and taught himself how to animate, later earning himself a degree in Computer Animation and Visual Effects at Leeds Beckett University and launched a freelance animation studio, Chris McEwan Animation

Rob writes dark fiction under the pen name Jack Rollins. He also started his own horror fiction publishing house Dark Chapter Press.

Chris supported Rob at several film and comic cons, and horror cons around the UK over the last couple of years and they decided to curate the very best pop culture merchandise and create a business that's serious about having fun. Their mission is to bring the coolest toys and collectibles to their customers, both for play and display. Their range has grown exponentially since starting out in June 2016, and lots of customers can't believe the goodies to be found on their market stalls across the North East of England. And now, with this website, the brothers increase their reach from regional to national and international levels.

This site isn't just about the merchandise on sale, though, it's about taking time to appreciate a little bit of nostalgia, looking back at favourite toys, movies, cartoons, etc, as well as looking forward to upcoming releases and taking a look at what's on in cinemas, consoles and TV right now.

The only thing that's missing is you, so why not connect across the social networks. take a look at the blog and get involved with Carsun's Bazaar today?

Animation is hugely important to me as an animator. Bob’s Burgers, Rick and Morty and South Park being some of my favourites. Wrestling is a big interest for me, some of my favourite superstars being Seth Rollins, Zack Ryder and Sasha Banks. Mention the Fallout series to me and I’ll be talking for hours about it.
